In our daily life we are always building. We build relationships, we make enemies, we have successes and we endure failures. Sometimes we get hurt from building but we learn through the pain. These experiences make us better. We are builders. Teach your children to build it is key to having a strong foundation.

Building
Roland and Mickey Rourke
Me and some friends got a chance to kick it with Mickey Rourke on the Iron Man 2 set. He’s a cool guy with a Parrot. He said he hadn’t ridden a bike in like 10 years. I gave him my dads bike to take a few laps around the set. He chopped off this kids head with a 3 foot sword while riding the bike. I almost shit myself.

Ducati 1098 Sand Dragster
A friend dropped his Ducati 1098 off at the shop to have some work done. I asked him what he wanted done to it. His reply was, “do what ever you want, I trust you.”
I’ve always wanted a sand dragster… I hope we will still be friends when he gets his bike back.

Rodneys thought of the day
Life is funny at times.
Sometimes we try and communicate but we feel like no one can hear us. Today I took a step back to note of some of the individual voices that reside around RSD.
Jeff will talk and babble all day and you swear nothing good came out of his mouth. He looks off into space at a 60 degree angle and you wonder which aliens he is trying to communicate with. Well today I finally got it. Here is an example of the voice in which Jeff speaks eloquently and to the point. I believe this might be his signature.
Chris often will talk motorcycles until it makes you want to puke. I sit and nod like I’m interested and wait for the verbal motorcycle beating to be over. In pain I walk away an think of the good old days when motorcycles didn’t engulf my life they merely were a vehicle to escape on. While thinking of Chris and his conversation he brought over to me a piece he just pulled out of his machine. I now can step back and enjoy Chris’s voice.
Take time to look around and enjoy the voices around you, you might just hear something nice.

Mickey Rourke's Bike
Day 2:
With the help of a whip, I’ve managed to get Jeff to roll the backbone and the two rear legs on Mickey’s new frame. Pain seems to be inspiration for him. When we start the swingarm I might need a small bat to extract the desired results from Jeff.

Mickey Rourke's Bike
Day 1:
Well not exactly day one, the first day was spent taking apart a complete 05 softail. We used the neck and frame cradle to start our build. The remainder of the bike will be put to sleep in our stock Harley graveyard next door. May all those unwanted parts RIP. Tomorrow we will begin the rebuild of the chassis, make her better, stronger and faster. Stay tuned for updates.
