RFK "Mission Breaks Records"

ROLAND SANDS DESIGN IS ON A “MISSION” TO BREAK RECORDS

March 11, 2009 (La Palma, Calif.)Cycle World magazine and the Ride for Kids® program approached Roland Sands about doing a third bike for their annual drawing after the 2007-2008 bike he created raised more than $84,000 in ticket sales, a record-setting amount. Starting with a Honda CBR1000RR again as the base, RSD created an entirely new look, an aggressive, yet clean, bike they have dubbed

"The Mission."

"I was amazed to hear that we set records with last year's bike. It pushed me to want to create a bike that everyone would want to win, a bike to break our own records," said Sands. "With 'The Mission' we have a chance to record the greatest amount of donations for a giveaway. And all for a cause I truly believe in."

For the ninth consecutive year Cycle World has partnered up with Ride for Kids® and Roland Sands Design to create a one-of-a-kind motorcycle for the drawing. So far the bike has traveled with Advanstar on each stop of its 13 city International Motorcycle Show tour and is on track to break the record set last year. However, it all comes down to the final push. RSD, Cycle World, Ride For Kids® and the Pediatric Brain Tumor foundation are all calling upon everyone who rides, and everyone in the motorcycle industry, to get their tickets to win this truly original bike; all the while, raising money for an amazing cause.

"All of us at Cycle World are honored and humbled to be in this position," said Marketing Director Corey Eastman, "highlighting the generous spirit of the motorcycle industry and helping these kids face the fight of their lives."

Tickets are one for $5 or five for $20 and are on sale until midnight April 30. All proceeds benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. The PBTF works in conjunction with Ride For Kids® to find a cause of and cure for childhood brain tumors through organizing motorcycle rides and fundraising events in the motorcycle community.

Please buy your tickets online today by going to www.rideforkids.org or order them from the PBTF by calling 800-253-6530.

To order tickets by mail, send a check payable to the PBTF with "IMS Motorcycle Drawing" in the memo line. Send to 302 Ridgefield Ct., Asheville, NC, 28806.
